Important information about returns and complaints
Many of our products are unique and vintage, and therefore cannot be replaced. We therefore have a policy that all shipped items are shipped at the customer's own risk, and under the responsibility of Posten/Bring. We ship with insurance up to 10,000 NOK within Norway. If you have any questions about damage to items, please contact Posten/Bring directly.
We disclaim all liability once the order has left the store, and we ask for your understanding due to the risk of damage during transport. We encourage you to visit our physical store if possible.
Lamps and electrical installation
Many of our lamps, especially vintage lamps, lack the stamp or approval that newer lamps often have, and documentation may be lacking. Some lamps may require new electrical installation, and it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that this is done correctly. We recommend that you consult an electrician if you are unsure.
Vintage lamps have no functional guarantee, and installation is at the customer's own risk.
IMPORTANT:
- Vintage products, display models, Murano lamps, art and special orders : Products such as lamps, mirrors, furniture, wallpaper, textiles, carpets and other items that are ordered specifically for the customer cannot be returned or exchanged. Murano lamps also have no right of withdrawal.
- Glass lamps : Movements in the home can cause glass lamps to rattle, but this does not give rise to a claim.
- Larger furniture : It is the customer's responsibility to check that large furniture, such as sofas and cabinets, can fit through the doors of the home. We are not responsible for errors in measurements, colors, fabrics or if the furniture does not fit.

Vintage furniture and products very rarely come with documentation and it can be difficult to find. Should you, against all odds, require this, we ask that you consider purchasing these products. The products are sold "as is" and usually without any form of proof/documentation.
Textiles and wallpaper are made to order and there are no exchanges or returns to the manufacturer or Alabaster. It is the customer's / tailor's responsibility to check before each order that the order is correct as it is not possible to return or exchange.
Freight
We recommend that fragile and delicate products are purchased physically in the store. If you still want to ship, we ship with Posten, which has a compensation limit of 10,000 NOK. Posten is responsible for any damage during transport, and all questions about compensation must be directed to them. We thank you for your understanding.
Lamps, wiring and electrical liability
Many of our lamps, especially vintage lamps, are not marked with a stamp/approval. If you are unsure whether your electrical installation needs to be upgraded, we recommend that you consult an electrician.
Return Policy
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days from the date of receipt to request a return. For an item to be eligible for return, it must be in the same condition as when you received it, unused, with tags attached and in its original packaging. You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.
To initiate a return, please send us a request at contact@alabasterstudio.no . If the return is approved, you will be responsible for the shipping costs back to us. You will be emailed the address to which you should send the item.
Injuries and problems
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you have received the wrong item, so that we can assess the situation and find a solution.
Exchange of goods
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item and, after the return is approved, make a new purchase of the desired item.
EU: 14-day right of withdrawal
For purchases within the EU, you have the right to cancel or return the order within 14 days without giving any reason. The item must be in the same condition as when received, unused, with tags and in the original packaging. A receipt or proof of purchase must be enclosed.
Refunds
We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return and will let you know if your refund has been approved. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10-14 business days. Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. If it has been more than 14 days since your return was approved, please contact us at kontakt@alabasterstudio.no .
Prices and products
Some products are marked with 0 kr. This is not the actual price, but is used to indicate "price on request." Please contact us for the correct price, and do not order items without a stated price, as the order will be rejected.
The colors of the products in the online store and on social media are displayed as accurately as possible, but we cannot guarantee that the color of the item will be identical to what appears on your screen, due to variations in digital displays.
