Exchange & return vintage and special orders / exchange and return policy

Many of our goods are one of a kind, vintage and cannot be replaced, therefore we have a policy that all transported goods are at the customer's own risk and the post office's responsibility.
We ship with insurance up to NOK 10,000 within Norway. Please contact Posten/Bring for all inquiries regarding damaged goods.

Please note that we disclaim all responsibility after your order has left our shop and kindly ask for your understanding. This is because of the risk of damage during shipping. Please visit our physical shop if possible.

Lightning
Many of our lamps are vintage and are not marked with a stamp/approval as most newer lamps are and documents may be missing. Some lamps need new wiring.

Vintage lamps in cases have no functional warranty is provided.

Installation is at your own risk. We advise you to ask your electrician if you are in doubt.

IMPORTANT:

Vintage items, display products, Murano and vintage lamps/chandeliers, art, custom made/custom orders (lamps, mirrors, furniture, fabrics, wallpaper, carpets etc) ordered from suppliers and made to order are specially customized per order and non refundable.

Opened beauty products are also non-refundable.

Murano lamps cannot be exchanged or refunded.

IMPORTANT: Order items, made to order, exhibition models, vintage products, Murano lamps, art and special orders such as furniture, lamps, mirrors, wallpaper, textiles and textile products, carpets and other products that we do not have in the range in store and which must be ordered specially for the customer can NON-RETURNABLE, i.e. you cannot get your money back. Murano cannot be exchanged either. No right of withdrawal. Glass lamps can naturally create a clinking sound when moved in the home, but there is no right of complaint for that reason.
It is the customer's responsibility to check that larger items such as sofas, cupboards etc enter the home's door(s). We take no responsibility if furniture does not enter the home or if the customer has placed an order with the wrong dimensions, color, fabric, etc.

DELIVERY: We want all of the delicate breakable products to be purchased physically in the store. Should you still wish to have goods sent, we will send by post which has compensation up to NOK 10,000 and it is the post office's responsibility if goods are damaged during transport. All questions about compensation should be directed to the post office. We ask for your understanding for this.

LAMPS, older wiring, EL etc:

Many of our lamps and especially vintage lamps are not marked with a stamp / approval as many newer lamps are. Ask your electrician if you are unsure about the electrical and whether it should be replaced.

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can send us a request at contact @alabasterstudio.no .

If your return is accepted, you will be responsible for the shipping costs back to us. You'll get the address you will ship the package back to on email.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds

We will notify you once we've received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10-14 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Some products are marketed with NOK 0. This is not the actual price but the only way to state its "price by request". Please contact us for the actual price and we kindly ask you not to order products with no value. Your order will be declined.


All products in social media and webshop are shown as color accurate as possible, but due to the large variation in digital displays, there are no guarantees that the color of the item is exactly as it is on the screen.
