How do I wash a Hemp Blanket?
Stains: Blot up as much as possible.
Sprinkle plenty of salt before the liquid spreads. The white crystals quickly absorb spills, but to remove red stains, you'll need bleach.
After you've vacuumed up the salt, you can use baking soda. It's a safe and natural stain remover for furniture and carpets, and can also have a bleaching effect on fabrics.
Cover the entire stain with baking soda and let it sit for several hours.
Alternatively, you can mix baking soda with a little water to create a chemical-free cleaning solution. Use a brush to gently work the solution into the material for best results. You may need to repeat the process several times before the natural carpet color becomes visible again.
